Lydham Friday Market

Plants, Shrubs, Climbers (Nick Grinsell)

Usual Attendance at Market:   Weekly during Spring, Summer and Autumn

Nick Grinsell is from the Welshpool area and has been in his plant selling business for the past 32 years. The business began when his Uncle, who owned the business, passed away suddenly with no-one to carry it on. So Nick decided to give it a go, - and has never looked back!

Nick sells a wide variety of plants including Alpines, Herbaceous, Shrubs and Climbers, Heathers and Fruit trees. Some of the plants he grows from seeds, cuttings and plugs whilst others he buys in. Nick finds his best sellers tend to be bedding plants, both summer and winter, and also flowering shrubs.

In the lead-up to Christmas he also makes holly wreaths, so look out for those during the festive season! As well as working at Lydham Market, Nick also works at Welshpool market, Newtown and Machynlleth.
